Banner Image will not display

I uploaded my banner image and I am able to see it here
/banners/img/image1.gif

but the image will not display here
/admin/banimg_edit.php?entrant=&gr=0

nor will the image display here, the source code displays just fine.
affiliate/links.php?type=imgban

Any ideas?

Problem Fixed

When installing the program the instructions were to set permissions writable (make sure you set them to 755) by doing so fixed my problem. In my situation I had set them wrong (777)
