 WebVideo :: Requirements
Software can handle up to 80-100 concurent performer connections working at the same time and up to 1000 visitors per single server. It is important to have fast internet connection to get the best perfomance available on your server hardware.
Streaming server is written in cros-platform Java langauge and can be run on linux server as well as windows or MAC computers, but we strongly recomend to use linux for server software.
Here is hardware requirements for each part of the system:
- Server hardware/software:
- Processor: 1.5GHz or better
- RAM: 256Mb minimum
- Fast internet connection.
- Linux Red Hat/Debian/Fedora/Mandrake; Solaris; Mac OS X 10.3.X+
- MySQL database
- Apache
- Tomcat Servlet engine,
- Sun J2SDK 1.4 or better
- Performer hardware/software:
- Processor: 1GHz or better
- RAM: 128Mb or more
- 56kbps connection (dialup modem) minimum
- Windows 98/NT/2000/ME/XP/2003
- Video client hardware/software:
- Processor: 1GHz or better
- RAM: 128Mb or more
- 56kbps connection min.
- Supported browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firfox, Netscape Navigator, Opera, Safari
